Subliminal Messages

Am I the only person to notice a certain similarity between the lyrics of the latest pop single song from the Pet Shop Boys ensemble, Minimal:

An empty box
An open space
A single thought leaves a trace

And the Tim Rice/Andrew Lllllloyd-Webbbber "Any Dream will do":

A crash of drums,
a flash of light
My golden coat flew out of sight

Finally. I've been going on about this FOREVER and everyone just gives me weird looks. I even wrote it in my BBC review of the album but they thought i was weird and took it out.
