This might be a little hard to see, but this gentleman in the middle of the picture is standing half way across four lanes of traffic and selling snacks and water to passing drivers. Often the traffic moves along at a slow crawl, so this is a feasible venture, but when I took this snap, the rate of travel was at least 40mph. He wasn't the only one. There were also a couple of folks with a trailer in the middle of the road, but at least they had a small painted traffic island to stand on.
